Short biography of Stoya:
I started my career doing pin-up, fetish and alt-porn modelling and shortly after signed a contract with Digital Playground, an adult film studio specialising in couples. In my first year, I received awards such as the AVN and Xbiz Awards for ‘Best New Starlet’ and the Venus Berlin eLine Award for ‘Best U.S. Newcomer’. At the height of my career, the Village Voice published a cover story about me entitled ‘The Prettiest Girl in New York is a Porn Star’, and my contribution to Clayton Cubitt's project ‘Hysterical Literature’ was on display at the Massachusetts MOMA for several months.
I later co-founded the production studio and web portal TrenchcoatX with Kayden Kross, followed by my more experimental project ZeroSpaces. Since 2019, I have also been co-writing the sex advice column ‘How To Do It’ for Slate.

I currently live in Southeast Europe, have several certifications in the field of sexuality and work as a sex coach.
